So I think K-Rae decided she needed her turn being "sick," since Little Miss Mae has been sick on and off for about three weeks now. So she announced this morning that she needed to stay on the couch all day.....
And eat strawberries and color.......she was pretty mellowed out all day doing that, and napping. I didn't argue.....it was actually quite nice.....
And during her moments of more energy, she helped Kozy call Grandma Tree and Creamie and Grandpa. As much as we'd like to see her feeling better, this calm behavior has been nice too!
Little Miss Mae has been excited about this day for a long time (can you tell???)
The event began with a procession of the competitors, running of the torch, releasing of white doves, the whole nine yards......
"Do I get to race yet.....?!"
Little Miss Mae with Ms. Connie--her assistant.
There she goes!
Here she comes!
The excitement on her face after she won her race was priceless..........wanted to capture it on film, but had to put down the camera and hug that sweet little girl that came racing over to me as soon as she reached the finish line!
So proud!
Getting her ribbon.
First blue ribbon!
She loved all the games---and even appeased her sissy by racing her!
It was an extra special day having Auntie Kara there!
Being silly!
Even Mrs. Bricker (Little Miss Mae's kindergarten teacher) came to cheer her on!
