Little Miss Mae woke up bright and early this Saturday,
and announced on her talker:
"Today is December 1st, the day Jingle always arrives".....
well......Jingle is usually waiting for the girls in some mysterious spot,
but as hard as they searched, he was just not to be found.
I was actually sort of hoping since we've had another little Elf,
with plenty of his own antics join us this year,
that maybe Jingle could hold off awhile!
However, a UPS package managed to arrive just in the nick of time all the way from the North Pole.
And it didn't take long for Jingle to evoke hysterical laughter from Little Miss Mae this morning,
when she spotted his first mischievous trick:
But then she asked:
When I said, "It's a good thing we saved that box Jingle came in,
because we might have to send him back the North Pole if he keeps being so ornery,"
K-Rae promptly went to her room and came out with this note:
and sat out a a little cup of water and a Tootsie Roll....
We also managed to make it to the Parade of Lights last night....
and can say we experienced and survived that local feat once again---although
it did completely wear us out for the rest of the weekend and make us get to bed way too late!
Pictured here with Ms. M, who is my good friend and is also our kiddos' awesome babysitter |
And I'm hoping if I am really good this coming year, Santa will get me an early gift of a night at one of these amazing main street hotel rooms you can see behind the float,
to watch the parade from next year....wouldn't that be fun????
Actually, I like my early gift this year a lot...
baby clothes!
Not for our baby!!!
For a couple of babies with wish lists
on the giving tree at the girls' elementary school...
it looked like there were over 100 names
on the tree this year...and all from families with kids at the girls' school.
Let me tell you, I had lots of fun picking out little girl things,
and don't think I did too bad with the little boy items either!
Hope they'll keep some sweet little babies warm and cozy this winter---
and thanks for letting me pick my own gift this year Santa,
it makes me very happy!
