Parents busted playing with iPad after girls have gone to "bed"

Meet Carl--our new "family member"...
I'm sure you'll see more of him in future clips,
he seems to have captured everyone's attention!
For those of you with kids, or kids at heart
(that would be you Uncle Johnny),
"Talking Carl HD" is an app from itunes
for your iPad or iPhone.
Can't say it's educational,
but probably the most fun 99 cents you'll spend!

Kindergarten Graduation

It started with Pomp and Circumstance.....
Little Miss Mae got to walk down the aisle with her best friend....

Friends came to watch....Georgia and kids
Great Grandma, Creamie & Grandpa made a quick trip up for the special event.....here and back home in one afternoon/evening!
Yes, we were pretty proud!

It took Little Miss Mae awhile to figure out what to think about the program....

But then she sang her little heart out....
Here's a quick clip of the singing:
And even though it got recorded sideways....still too cute to not include:
With Ms. Connie...her dear, sweet aide:
 And her classroom assistant:
 Posing with some friends:
K-Rae made a cake for the celebration.
Sweet teddy bear gift from Miss Laci:

April Showers bring......

.....May showers!!!.....
....and creative inside activities like:
and this:
...and I'm LOVING this activity lately:

...of course, some rainy days get a little too long, and just make you want to run in circles:
....on those days, I've been know to give in and let the girls head out:

 The thunder can be loud,
but rainbows are a bonus:
(Taken on top of the Colorado National Monument)
and rainy days just make K-Rae want to sing......well, then again, just about anything makes K-Rae want to sing!

Sick Day

So I think K-Rae decided she needed her turn being "sick," since Little Miss Mae has been sick on and off for about three weeks now.  So she announced this morning that she needed to stay on the couch all day.....
And eat strawberries and color.......she was pretty mellowed out all day doing that, and napping. I didn't argue.....it was actually quite nice.....

And during her moments of more energy, she helped Kozy call Grandma Tree and Creamie and Grandpa.
As much as we'd like to see her feeling better, this calm behavior has been nice too!

Little Miss Mae's First Special Olympics

Little Miss Mae
has been excited
about this day for a long time (can you tell???)

The event began with a procession of the competitors, running of the torch, releasing of white doves, the whole nine yards......
"Do I get to race yet.....?!"

Little Miss Mae with Ms. Connie--her assistant.
There she goes!
Here she comes!
The excitement on her face after she won her race was priceless..........wanted to capture it on film, but had to put down the camera and hug that sweet little girl that came racing over to me as soon as she reached the finish line!
So proud!

Getting her ribbon.

First blue ribbon!

She loved all the games---and even appeased her sissy by racing her!

It was an extra special day having Auntie Kara there!
Being silly!

Even Mrs. Bricker (Little Miss Mae's kindergarten teacher) came to cheer her on!

A very special day for Little Miss Mae!
