"I think this baby will come tonight....."

So Little Miss Mae "measured" my belly
this a.m. with her hands,
showed me how big she thinks the baby is,
and said on her talker:
"I think this baby will come tonight."
I told her that would be fine with me,
as long as it waits until after midnight......
not really fond of the leap year birthday idea!

The girls are getting anxious though...

....so is Mama!
38 1/2 weeks!

Pampered

My littlest sis came to visit for the weekend....
Let me tell you, I got spoiled.

Everyone should have a licensed massage therapist in their family.
I felt like a pampered guest in my own house...
Probably the last time to get pampered,
before it means this kind of pampers:
The girls of course adored the extra attention and energy,
that is especially lacking on my part lately.

Having both Auntie Kara here and RyDaddy home an extra day, they managed bike rides, time at the park...(outdoor photo credits: Kara)

They even got to go to a basketball game with Auntie Kara and RyDaddy
(Mama refuses to sit on the bleachers at this point, and pretty much anywhere that isn't a couch!!!)

...and were invited onto the court before the game to give the Central High School team high fives...
and got their first ever rose....

Boy they sure felt special!

And wouldn't you know it-it even snowed this weekend---
You know it must not snow here much when I take a video of nothing other than snow falling...

Enough snow to build a real snowman too....
It started out as a snow mouse, and then transformed into a tribute to Dr. Seuss
or something like that...
I'm just thankful it snowed on a day RyDaddy was home,
so I didn't have to be the one to attempt the snow person masterpiece!

Oh---and Kara also cleaned my house!
We're talking vacuuming, scrubbing the bathroom, doing dishes, helping out with laundry, cleaning the girls' room......& made me lots and lots of hot tea to help alleviate my bothersome and forever lingering cold (so sorry to have passed it onto you in the process Kara!), and watched the girls while RyDaddy and I got to go out on a hot date... You're moving in when Kara????

Little Miss Mae trialing new power chair

She's excited about getting her new chair!
These video clips are a chair she is trialing at therapy,
but the one getting ordered for her will be about the same,
maybe a different color;
not sure the purple is still an option.
Watch out everyone!  Here she comes!
And to include the other munchkin.....
She got herself up and dressed to go play out in the "snow" before I was even awake!
And she's taking this "getting ready for baby" business very seriously!
And she has tried on all the baby clothes,
learned what a "onesie" is,
although she couldn't figure out how to put that one on,
played with all the baby toys,
tried out all the blankies...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Pretty in red....
Opening V-day gifts

Oh yes, candy for breakfast....
K-Rae wanted to know if she could "make a movie for baby for Valentine's Day..."
My job?  "Stand there and smile..."
And I convinced her to take the obligatory baby book shots for me....seriously ready to pop--just about 37 weeks!!!  According to my "trusty" internet site for baby facts:

"Space is getting cramped." (You don't say---I wonder if whoever wrote this had to have a doctorate to figure that out!!!!!??????)  "There should be no problem if it is born any time from now on...." (OK, I can go for that--today would've been just fine!)   "Since it is less roomy in the uterus, your baby cannot move much so you are unlikely to feel as many kicks and elbows"  (Ummmm, wrong.....I pretty much feel like there is a small earthquake going on in my belly all of the time!!!)

See you soon, Baby!!!

February Already?!?!?!?

K-Rae is ready for spring...especially gardening.
She would be happy to survive on fruits and veggies, if we would let her!

She has pulled out the gardening book and is getting going on her gardening plans.

It's a good diversion from being sick...
which is how she has spent the past several days...
Fortunately, "Boo-boo" the monkey and Grandma Tree were here to help.
Hopefully she'll be back up to par and ready to get back into the routine a little more...
 like violin lessons...
most of her lessons are private;
here's a couple pics of a group lesson days though.
She really loves the little groups!
Here's a quick clip of practicing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star..."

As for Little Miss Mae...she is keeping the Tooth Fairy busy....
I've lost track, I think she's on tooth 6 or 7 now.
Anyhow....a couple of lost teeth ago,
she wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy on her talker saying:
"Dear Tooth Fairy: I would like a little toy doll please. I'm tired of money."
 The Tooth Fairy complied...
This past lost tooth, (which she pulled herself!) the letter said:
"Dear Tooth Fairy: I want a little saver
(saber) tooth tiger named Lucy that says,
'Get out of the way please you bowly (bully)!"
The Tooth Fairy must be amazing...
(not a nerd, like I declared about the Tooth Fairy when I was little,
after my tooth stayed under my pillow for a few nights before I found my silver dollar....)
What happened to those days of being content with a dollar anyway???
