Christmas Eve at our house

Continuing a tradition from my childhood....
Christmas Eve reading of The Little Angel:
Face-time Christmas Eve service with Sampa, Meemaw and Auntie Kara:
Checking out new shelves built by Sampa:

 Decorating K-Rae Style:
 Decorating Little Miss Mae style:
Cute vest sewn by Meemaw:
Enjoying one last antic of Jingle for this year:
A bit of cleaning and laundry...with help of course!
It's enough to wear a little one out---plus he found his "Ellie" in the laundry basket!
Snow, snow and more snow!
About 50 layers later.....ready to go outside!
Wishing he were going outside!
Enjoying driving around and looking at the Christmas lights...
Tracking Santa's sleigh!

And a quick peak back from a couple of days earlier:

I've been in more of a crafting, than blogging mood lately

...but there are some cute moments to share....

While Sammy is napping,
K-Rae and I have been crafting....
with breaks for K-Rae to "dress-up" of course!
We made this for her classroom teacher,
and a similar one for the classroom assistant.
We streamlined the process from last year...
no Modge Podge this time, thank goodness!
We used a sturdy, glossy scrapbook paper for the trees,
as as well as for the snow.

And Jingle has brought an elf friend to our house:
meet "Joy," the nice elf!
Chloe has been off to school each day,
until the last day before break when she had to stay home
because she was vomiting all night....poor thing!
When she gets sick, she really gets sick!
RyDaddy's family joined our three-ring circus for an early Christmas celebration:
And the girls are looking forward to having Daddy home for the school break:
 As am I!
We even managed to sneak out to a movie while RyD's parents and GG
watched all the kiddos for a couple of hours...
this is the first real date we've been kid free and done something with just the two of us
since early October, when Uncle Johnny, Sampa and Auntie Kara braved all our kiddos,
so we could window shop around the mall!
It almost reminded me that I do actually like to get out of my sweat pants
and spend time with my hubby sometimes!

The elves....

This cute little elf spit up all over Mama,
broke her earring,
and managed to pull her hair out if its nice tidy little ponytail....
all in the cry room at church this morning.
It was quite productive, let me tell you!
The one worship song I heard was quite lovely though....
and Bubba posed for Mama later on to make up for his antics!
Chloe was in a "lovey-dovey" mood...
"Mom---she's kissing me again!!!"

"This is to eat, right!?!"
"ooooohhhh!"

"OK, I'll just eat the ribbon!"
As for that other elf....
he's figuring out if he hides really well,
he won't be spotted for a couple of days!
And if he Jingle doesn't get creative enough,
K-Rae takes over with the antics,
as she did with the "stockings,"
since Mama hasn't managed to find the real ones yet!
I'm thinking maybe we should just stick with these this year!

A Redneck Christmas

....or just another antic of Jingle (the TP that is, not the fence!)
.....fa-la-la-la,
    -la-la-la-la!
Oh...and that fence....
yep, to keep this little elf from eating the Christmas tree lights,
which was the first thing he tried to do when we were putting the tree up!
And he is also starting to pull-up on things and stand a bit now!
Will be a busy holiday season keeping up with him!
