Entertainment by kids

Sampa, come back to see us,we need some more stories read to us.
......Sammy needs someone to play guitar with him,
and to feed him yummy yogurt....
(Don't you think they could be on an advertisement for Noosa?
Oh, and if you haven't tried Noosa yogurt yet,
it's like dessert for breakfast; we get it at Sprouts-made in CO.)
And we're never short on entertainment here!

Garden time!!!

Sometimes we get lucky enough to sneak in an early spring cold weather crop here....
it depends on various factors, all of which we're fairly unknowledgeable, so "luck" truly describes it!
The girls always get excited about seeding something---
anything, so we usually give it a try late February each year!

The few things we seeded (I say "we" like I helped...I actually mostly only bought the stuff, took the pictures, and said "RyDaddy, plant this!!!") sprouted like crazy....these next pics were taken less than a week later.  I'm pretty sure the fluorescent light I found at the Goodwill helped them along!

We tried to transplant the pea sprouts into the garden;
(the awesome trellises were created by Sampa)
They didn't make it, and I was later informed by Dennis Hill at Bookcliff Gardens, that peas need to be seeded directly into the ground, not transplanted......So RyDaddy got some pea seeds into the ground, as well as some lettuce & kale seeds and a few other transplants for me that we bought from Bookcliff Gardens......nice little transplants of brussel sprouts, broccoli, & cauliflower.  Dennis jokingly says that Bookcliff Gardens loves people like me....who get that early spring bug to plant something, buy the seeds, seed things way too early, and then come in and buy the transplants! Oh well, we'll see what happens and here's hoping for some fresh salad before too long!  And to include Sammy a bit: he's most excited about his new "spring frogs!" He would actually love to be digging in the garden with everyone else, if Mama would just let him get out of the tub!

Happy First Birthday!

Guess who turned ONE!!!!
We had a fun party at Kidzplex...local kids' gymnasium and indoor playground.....
a perfect place for a birthday party actually, very affordable, we reserved the pre-decorated party room for the bargain price of $10; & the mess was there----not in our house!
Big helpers....K-Rae and her friend "L"
First cupcake....he gobbled that right up!
 Such a big boy!
These stinkin' cute jeans were a gift from the Aunties...
and the other toys were birthday gifts too, all of which he loves!
And he even got his own boy Lalaloopsy doll, so he'll leave his sissys' dolls alone....
yes, from Grandma Tree...& Creamie says it will teach him to be a good Daddy someday!
And this is perhaps my very favorite video clip!!!
It's so "Bubba," he just can't help but dance if he hears any kind of music!
(& sorry about my singing voice on the clip....wasn't blessed with that talent)
And yes, this one is our bundle of endless energy....!

Another month gone???

Wow, I haven't blogged in almost a month....oh yeah, we've also been sick, for almost a month now too!  We really seemed to pass the junk around our family this month:
strep throat, colds, the flu and around and around again.
Here is hoping for a healthier spring!

In the midst of illness, a few sweet and silly moments here and there:
Sammy 11 mos. old birthday here...
I had such a hard time getting him to sit still for his 11 mos. old picture,
that K-Rae told me just to give up and take a picture of her instead....
And this is what Bubba thought of having to wear "big boy shorts" around for a few days to try to get rid of a diaper rash...

And Lil' Miss Mae spent a lot of time in bed trying to get feeling well again...

Kelsie entertained her well on days she was feeling a bit like playing though!
And this little gal is a kindergarten math whiz....
Learning about "regrouping" here....straws make great "bundles of 10"!
Valentine's Day is always a favorite at our house...
And yes, Bubba does cry sometimes! And he's still pretty cute even when he's crying...
And he usually doesn't stay upset too long!
Sampa came to visit for a few days....2 handsome men in this pic!!!
I love how Sampa is always on the floor playing and interacting with the kiddos!
And boy they sure love him and have so much fun when he is here!
Sammy got some fun early birthday gifts from Sampa.
Not sure who had more fun with the guitar!

It has been a hit for sure!

And Bubba doesn't like to let his guitar get out of sight....
He's starting to get a little bit ornery too!
Here's a quick video clip of that behavior!
More to catch up on, but that will have to wait! If you want a sneak preview, lots of new video clips added to my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/wait4medesigns/videos?flow=grid&view=0
