January video clips

We made it skiing one more time this season---
probably the last time for this year though.
My days of being a lodge bunny are over at this point I think---
I prefer the couch at home over the uncomfortable lodge chairs!
Here is a quick clip of K-Rae's ski lesson:
And I managed to catch just a quick snippit of
RyDaddy steering the bi-ski with Little Miss Mae:
We used the girls' Christmas money from the grandparents
to buy a little trampoline for them.....they're loving it!

And I'm loving it that they can burn some energy this way!

Peace out dude!

Today is "Blast from the Past" dress-up day at Little Miss Mae's school.  She definitely knows what she wants and doesn't want.  Even though we had a poodle skirt on hand, she was not going to wear that!  So, we looked at several pics on the internet of various 60's, 70's, & 80's costumes.  She picked out a hippie looking costume, and we came as close as we could to it with goodwill browsing.  She also wanted to be able to do the "peace" sign, but just couldn't quite get her fingers to cooperate, so she was very happy with the modification!
All smiles......
And off she goes!!!

As for the rest of us....

RyD is just trying to keep his head above water with 4 preps this teaching semester, and graciously picking up extra chores around the house that don't seem to be getting done on my part...and I haven't managed to catch him on camera lately!

A couple of days ago, my awesome friend invited K-Rae over to build a snowman with the small skiff of snow we got.....As you can see, K-Rae and her friend thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and they used up all the snow on their snow mama and snow baby! And I was so thankful to not have to be the one attempting to bend over and roll snowballs! I pretty much feel like I'm carrying around a huge snowball in my belly!
33 weeks and all is well with baby.  Mama, on the other hand, is pretty tired and getting around fairly slowly lately, and wouldn't mind if this baby makes an appearance a couple of weeks early!!! Any guesses as to if it's a boy or girl?  You can put your guesses as a comment on the blog if you want.  RyD and K-Rae are sure it's a boy; Little Miss Mae is hoping for a another sister.  I'm voting with Little Miss Mae, so we're evenly split!  Someone will be right!!! The due date is March 13th.  I'm hoping for closer to March 1st! We're registered at http://www.amazon.com/registry/baby if you're interested in browsing our list.  We're mostly needing things for diapering and feeding.  Our friends here are keeping us pretty well supplied with the bigger equipment items and have assured us they will be passing down lots of baby clothes as soon as they know the gender!

Never lacking on entertainment around here....

The girls have really gotten into putting on "programs,"
ever since their Christmas programs at school last month....
It usually involves some sort of make-shift stage, dress-up clothes, and
musical instruments.....and must ALWAYS have an audience,
(and certainly no sleeping during program time, Dadda!).

This wasn't so much a program outfit,
but what K-Rae chose to wear the day we went to lunch with Uncle Johnny...
He was wearing a tie that day, and she wanted to be
just.like.him.
And she wasn't about to give his tie back until I found one in RyDaddy's closet for her to wear!

No prayer in schools, right???....unless....

It's "Tebow Tag!"

A note came home from school yesterday reminding the students that today is orange and blue day at Little Miss Mae's school.  I had forgotten about this...I looked through the closet, nothing at all....Hmmmm...I called RyDaddy and begged him to go find something for Little Miss Mae to wear to participate....He did great right?!?  I mean, how cute does she look???  When RyDaddy gave her the hoody, I asked Little Miss Mae if she knows why she is having orange and blue day at school, the reply was,"No."  So then I asked her if she knows who the Broncos are; and much to her Daddy's dismay (and certainly don't tell Grandpa!!!), the answer was again "no."  He reminded her they had watched part of a game together a few weeks ago....since we don't watch T.V., there are at times, certain cultural aspects (but also a lot of junk!!!) we miss out on.

Anyhow, then I asked her, do you know who Tebow is, and this position was immediately the "response"...........LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!  How did she learn this?  "Tebow Tag" in P.E. class of course!

I just might have to become a Broncos fan!  Thanks for teaching this country how to pray Tim Tebow!   Click here to link to ESPN Article: I believe in Tim Tebow

Friends

So you've heard of double trouble, is this considered quadruple trouble?!?!

This littlest one is responsible for giving us the baby bug about a year ago!  Those cuddling days are over; she is now a busy little munchkin and determined to keep up with all the big girls....and still as cute as ever!

Actually the afternoon went really well; the girls had lots of fun together and K-Rae is asking when we can do it again!  Hopefully soon!

Christmas with Grandma Tree & random photos from Christmas Day

The girls are well entertained when Grandma Tree comes to visit.  She brought lots of Christmas crafts this time.

The Santa puppets came in handy for stories from uncle Johnny.
And Grandma let the girls fix her hair.....As a trade off for them letting her fix theirs....(see the adorable braids...)  And she got to be a part of all the Christmas festivities this year.

How cute are these little critters the girls made for each other for Christmas gifts???
(An idea "borrowed" from Etsy...and crafted with some help from Mom using scrap felt and miscellaneous beads and buttons....) And one of the gifts still actually being played with....it seems the simple gifts often please the most...  Here is Little Miss Mae opening her woodland critters.....
Christmas table, set with red heirloom dishes passed down from Ryan's Grammie.....
We loved having Auntie Sara and Uncle Johnny join us for Christmas too....
And I just have to say I LOVE this buffet server for holiday meals...a gift from my dad that I've used several times over.
And Christmas (and everyday since then!!!) just wouldn't be complete without fairy wings....
